How to keep feeling yourself while stuck at home

A lot of us have fallen guilty to not making enough time for ourselves for self care, or giving enough attention to our mental, physical, and emotional health. Nowadays, we’re all stuck at home with more time on our hands than we would like, so we’ve put together a list of ways to finally get around to that self care so that we can keep feeling our boss babe selves while cooped up at home.

KEEP YOUR ROUTINE

Sticking to a routine can help you feel like yourself in these crazy times, and part of a routine is getting dressed in the morning. Whether you’re changing from your night time pj’s to your daytime pj’s, or dressing up a little more in an effort to impress the birds on your morning walk around the block, doing so will help you to look and feel more confident. Our sporty spice 2 piece set is the perfect way to look cute, and stay comfortable through the day. A few of our other favorite comfortable looks are the off the shoulder crops (you can pair this with some baggy high wasted sweats for a cute cozy look!) and the business or casual joggers!

Pssst,  Keep checking back, because we’ve got an adorable lounge wear collection on it’s way!

DIY SPA DAY

Some of our favorite ways to self care at home include DIY hair and face masks! The best part about doing this is that you don’t have to spend very much (if any at all) on ingredients. Here are some of our favorite recipes, using clean ingredients you probably already have in your cupboard!

BANANA MASK -  Bananas are filled with so many skin loving ingredients: vitamin A helps fade dark spots and blemishes and smooth out rough skin, vitamin B reduces dryness, vitamin E reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and potassium helps to moisturize and hydrate. This fruit makes a perfect natural, DIY face mask that will leave skin looking and feeling softer. The best part? All you need is a banana.

what you'll need

- one ripe medium banan

To make: Mash up banana until it is a smooth paste, and gently apply it to your face and neck. Let set for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.

For extra oomf, add in

 - 1/4 cup plain yogurt

 -  tablespoons honey (a natural acne remedy),

HYDRATING HAIR MASK - This simple hair mask will leave your hair feeling so silky and shiny, you’ll think you just left the salon.

What you’ll need

 - Honey

 - Coconut oil

honey is a natural humectant and can help hair absorb and retain moisture, and coconut oil is a natural deep conditioner that penetrates the hair for added moisture and shine

to make: 1:1 ratio. For short hair 1 tbs of each will do. For long hair 2-4 tbs of each!

Mix these two together and heat until you have a liquid oil. Massage into scalp, and through ends of hair and cover head with saran wrap. Let sit for 15-20 minutes, and rinse

You can do both the hair and face mask at the same time for the perfect at home spa day!
